Impersonated and diluted
It would be so you to misconstrue this
Why does it even matter?
I can't seem to gather what's the goddamn matter
Old habits are hard to break
Open wounds never heal
Losing sight of this love
I had to let it die
Take back the life that once was mine
I've doubled down on borrowed time
There stands a goddess with a crown of
dying flowers
Her skin is peeling
By her eyes, my heart devoured
And I've got my reasons
None of which are good enough to
make you stay
Just shake your head and walk away
It eats away everything I love
And spits it back at me
Always staring, dead eye, smiling
I remember someone I trust
Told me that the work should be enough
If the work is what you love
What if love isn't in love?
Wish I could give it up
I'm just not sure enough

Even for this genre the sheer intensity of this album always manages to floor me. Might not be the most unique album under the sun but it doesn't have to be; the performances are tight and ferocious, the songwriting is dynamic and explosive, the production is crushing, it's just all things to a mathcore fan. napalmsatan
